Do you need help with managing your terminology?

23 May 2017

Gergana Dimitrova

Terminology management is an important quality criterion for a good translation. During the months of March and April, Gergana Dimitrova helped us with many terminology projects for our customers, so we could keep up with the demand. Gergana has a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and 3 years of translation experience. Her good language skills in Bulgarian, English, Japanese and Danish are a big plus for the job.

Her internship was so successful that we decided to prolong her contract until August. As an Assistant Project Manager, she continues to structure and collect our customers’ specific terminology to build and maintain termbases. The use of a termbase does not only create consistency in the actual text and in future translations but also in all your corporate communication.

Seeing the person behind the customer creates success in Germany

30 November 2016

Today, Danish business daily Børsen published an article about why World Translation A/S is so successful on the German market. According to World Translation’s CEO, Ib Brandt Jørgensen, it is because “The customer has to be in the focus – not only as your business partner but also as a person. It is that simple but the concept is all but forgotten.” In the article, he shares some words of wisdom about personal communication and how to successfully prepare for the meeting with a potential German customer, so that ends in a deal.

Mentoring program pays off

6 May 2016

In 2014 and 2015, World Translation was part of the ATV mentoring programme for medium-sized companies with growth potential. When we agreed to participate in a yearlong mentoring programme, we had no idea what lay ahead, or how much we would benefit from being part of the process. Now, two years later, we know it was the right decision.

Our mentoring course was a success especially because of our competent mentor Helle Bechgaard – professional board member, previous chairperson for ATV’s think tank and with a long career as a business leader.

That is why our director Ib Brandt Jørgensen and Helle Bechgaard were invited to take part in a promotional film about the mentoring programme. We are proud that ATV chose World Translation, and we can highly recommend the mentoring programme to other companies.

German Danish Business Award Finalist

13 November 2014

Dansk-Tysk Erhvervspris nominering 2014

The German-Danish Chamber of Commerce has chosen World Translation as one of the five finalists for the German Danish Business Award 2014. Each year, the award honours one company that has contributed to great business relations across the German-Danish border. This year, we have the chance to win.

We were chosen as one of the finalists because we have such business success in Denmark as well as in Germany. Furthermore, we engage in German and Danish trade associations and contribute to the improvement of technical documentation in the Danish industry by offering further education.

TCTrainNet training and certification – the solution for Danish engineering companies

6 October 2014

It is widely accepted that the Danish business community requires high-quality technical documentation and there is a lack of qualified employees who can write such documentation. It can prove very costly for Danish companies when the export of their new machinery is delayed because their documentation is inadequate.
Sara Rosendal, from Danish weekly engineering newspaper Ingeniøren, has written an article about how World Translation’s TCTrainNet training course can solve this issue.

12 September 2014

Gazelle prisen 2014

Danish business daily Børsen has once again designated World Translation A/S as a Gazelle company, meaning World Translation remains one of the fastest growing companies in Denmark. More specifically, it means that World Translation belongs to a group of Danish companies that in the last four years have experienced uninterrupted growth in revenue or gross profit and in total have turnover or gross profit that has doubled during the period.
This is the third time that World Translation has been designated as a Gazelle company. We are very honoured and proud of this achievement.
